  Art IV is the capstone course of the NVHS art program. Students in Art IV spend the year preparing their digital portfolio and developing their skills in their choice of art media.
  
• Art I-Introduction to Art

  

  Art I is the introductory course to the NVHS Visual Arts program. The students will learn basic art skills and studio habits. The primary outcome of the class is for students to have a solid foundation on which they can build for future artistic endeavors.
• Graphic Arts and Design-Art II

  

  Graphic Arts and Design-Art II is an introductory design class. The first quarter will focus on learning Adobe Illustrator CS5 and second quarter will focus on Adobe Photoshop CS5. Second semester will focus on studio art including watercolor, printmaking, life-drawing and ceramics.
